How to Make a Strapless Dress Modest

Dress (clearance, $10): F21 (similar)
Cardigan (clearance, $6): Target (similar)
Scarf ($8): Burlington (similar)
Tights: ? (similar)
Shoes ($2): Thrifted Steve Madden (similar)
Earrings (free with gift card): InPink (similar)
Bracelet: Handmade, Gift

This dress is actually strapless.  You'd never know would you? ;-)  I loved the color, so despite the fact that it's not what I would call modest, I bought it anyway.

I also like to modest-ify strapless dresses by wearing tops over them!  Wearing something covering underneath always feels bulky, but putting something on top usually seems to work.

How do you make your clothes work for you?

  1. Love this. I do the same thing with strapless and spaghetti strap dresses. :)
