red and white striped top, ripped jeans, brown boots
Thrifted Top; Gap Jeans; Swapped Boots

I thrifted this top a few weeks ago, but the sleeves were really wide and odd. I quickly took them in to make them more fitted and now I have a snazzy and festive striped top.

I wore this for our Christmas photo. We haven't taken a Christmas photo for a few years, so it was nice to finally have an updated shot to send our families. We even tried to get the dogs in a act...they weren't impressed.

So yeah... Merry Christmas and all that.

Date Night Wear, Take 30

orange cardi, lace tee, red cowl, boyfriend jeans, booties
Target Cardi (here); Scarf made from old sweater (similar); Thrifted Vintage Tee (similar); Old Navy Jeans (here); Payless Booties (similar)

Oh hey internet. My computer decided to stop working this week, so that's what you have to thank for the radio silence.

I threw this outfit together for date night a few nights ago, which consisted of the hotdog stand at the mall and some Christmas shopping. Also thrifting, which I had not done in weeks, so that pretty much made my night.

November in Review

November, I don't know where you went. Heres how it went down.

Northside Boots via Amazon, $74

The one and only purchase I made this month was these super cozy boots. I've been wanting a pair of boots like this for years. YEARS. Sometimes you just need something practical to get you to work and back, you know?

  • Outlander - You guys, so good. I just started the second one last week and its just as amazing.

  • Thanksgiving up north with the family. It had been 6 months since Id been home so it was long overdue.
  • New kitchen flooring.
  • Getting most of my Christmas shopping done.
How was your November?

Kitchen: Before & After

We moved into our little fixer upper a year ago now, and have been slowly but surely fixing it up. The latest room to get a little TLC is the kitchen. I'm especially proud of it since I did all the work myself, including installing the flooring.

Gorgeous, no? Gotta love that paneling.

Heres now it looks today, after painting everything, and tearing up 2 layers of old flooring.

Pre-cabinet paint, but hey look, yellow walls!

Have you done any major renovation on your home?

Well, it's happened. While there was no snow when we took these photos on Sunday, there is now snow covering absolutely everything. I generally don't mind snow, but it's so early, you guys. I shouldn't have to deal with this for at least another month. Amiright?
