The Wait is Over

draped top, leggings, over the knee boots
Modcloth Cardigan (here); Target Jeggings; Modcloth Boots (similar)

J bought this cardigan for me for my birthday almost a month ago. Unfortunately it was the wrong size so we had to send it back. A few days ago the new size came and I'm so happy with it! This top is insanely comfortable and looks great either zipped or unzipped. I can't wait to wear it to death this winter.

denim jacket, mustard scarf, grey sweater dress, brown boots
Levi's Jacket; Kohl's Scarf (similar); Old Navy Dress; Swapped Boots (similar)

Sometimes J and I just take a random weekend and skip town. It's so good for our mental health; we really need to do it more often. This past weekend we headed 2 hours north to Houghton Lake, Michigan. The fall colors were gorgeous, and although it was freezing, we had a great time.

Gratitude: October

We finally closed on our mortgage this week. Beer was in order.

Beautiful fall colors. The dogs are loving it too.

Spontaneous date nights.

The desire to craft again. I made this lovely little fall banner. It'simple, but perfect.

What are you thankful for lately?

striped top, mustard scarf, jeans, boots

Thrifted Top (similar)
Scarf c/o Daily Charms
Gap Jeans (here, on sale!)
Swapped Boots (similar)

This outfit is such a fall classic. Stripes and a scarf with easy jeans. My favorite.

Mid-October is peak color time in mid-Michigan, so we've been really enjoying the beauty of fall this week. My camera and I are happy, and so are my boots. How are the colors where you are?

Lazy Days

orange cardi, striped tunic, leggings, over the knee boots
Tunic via thredUP; Target Cardigan (here); State Necklace via Cents of Style; Hue Leggings (here); Modcloth Boots (similar)

You guys, I've been so lazy this week. Do you ever get in that mode where the less you do, the less you feel like doing? Yep, totally this week. I'm still jobless, and have very little to do beyond housework. I've found the key to times like this is just to get dressed and leave the house, if only for a little while. Today I went to the post office and city hall to pay a bill. Neither of those things needed to be done until next week, but hey...I needed to get out.

How do you beat laziness?
