I wore this yesterday in glorious 70 degree weather. Spring is here and I couldn't be happier.
I know I'm not the only one, but spring has me in full on cleaning and organizing mode. When we moved last fall, a lot of things just sort of got put in one spot...and 6 months later, they're still there. We've been working on remedying that the last few days, as well as tackling projects around our fixer-upper that have been sitting all winter. Like taking down the fan that's in the corner of our living room. Yep. In the corner (we have no idea).

Thrifted Striped Tee (cheapo option here); Levi's Jacket (here); Docker's Pants, refashioned into skinnies (similar); Gap Flats (love these)
I wore this to a brunch a few days ago. It was one of those weird social situations where I only knew the hostess and quickly discovered that the other guests were...ahh...not my cup of tea, shall we say? I stayed long enough to get some fritatta and coffee, then I skedaddled out of there to meet up with my husband. Hanging out with him is more fun. :-)

Thrifted Target Tee (here) and Cardi (similar); Gap Jeans (here); Kohl's Flats (similar) and Earrings (similar)
Back at it today after suffering a terrible 24 hours without my computer. The case as been breaking apart by the hinge and every time I open it it gets a little worse. So Jeremy took it all apart and hopefully it's better now. Provided I stop dropping it, I suppose.
How has your week been? Jeremy's work schedule changed this week so he's now off Mondays and Tuesdays. Which feels so weird. I thought it was Saturday all day. We got to go out and take advantage of $5 movie Tuesday at our local theater and I got some goods at Sally Beauty to try my own gel manicure at home. Which I'm going to do as soon as I hit publish on this post.
Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday.

Thrifted Tee (similar); Kohl's Scarf (similar); Gap Factory Jeans (similar); Thrifted Booties (here)
It looks like fall in this photo, but I swear to you I just wore this a few days ago. See the mud? Definitely spring.
I was digging around the thrift store last week looking for a simple tee I could bleach paint when I came across this beauty. I love the boxy, slouchy fit of it. It's such a great basic, I'm pretty sure I'm just going to have to find another tee to destroy cause I couldn't bear to part with this one should the bleach painting go awry.

I realized today that I posted about our desire to adopt a while back and never followed up. After a lot of thought and prayer, we decided to adopt through the foster system. We haven`t actually started fostering yet though. Jeremy has been taking classes full time in addition to working full time, so we haven`t had the time to take the state-required classes to become licensed foster parents. Really, this is good. Although we`re both eager to start our family, with Jeremy in school, I`d pretty much be single parenting.
So at this point, we are trying to make a decision. Option 1: take the classes over the summer and begin fostering in the fall. Jeremy will still be in school, so we`d have to be very selective about the kids we foster so I don`t get overwhelmed. Option 2: wait until Jeremy is done with school in December 2015. Neither of us want to wait, but we also want to be fully present for these kids.
Decisions, decisions. It's hard to trust God's timing for our family when we want things to happen now now now.
